Terms of Service

These Terms describe the rules for using ResumesFlow. They are written to match the current product: resume editing, import, AI tools, cover letters, job tracking, PayPal billing, account security, and admin operations.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ResumesFlow, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service Description

ResumesFlow provides resume templates, resume editing, PDF export, cover letters, job tracking, optional resume import for supported PDF and DOCX files, optional AI review and rewrite, free trial and plan-based access controls, PayPal checkout, PayPal subscriptions, billing settings, account export, and account deletion tools. Some features require authentication or a paid plan.

3. Accounts and Security

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep your email and password secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • The app may require email verification, reCAPTCHA, password complexity, rate limits, CSRF/origin checks, and session checks.
  • You may not try to set your own role, plan, payment status, subscription status, price, or ownership fields through client requests.
  • You must notify support if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Your Content and Resume Accuracy

You own the resumes, cover letters, job tracker entries, uploaded files, reviews, and other content you provide. You grant ResumesFlow the limited rights needed to host, encrypt, decrypt for your authorized use, process, display, export, secure, and operate the service.

You are responsible for making sure your resume, cover letter, job application materials, imported content, and public reviews are truthful, lawful, accurate, and not misleading. Do not include companies, roles, degrees, certifications, dates, metrics, links, skills, salary information, or achievements that you cannot support.

5. Resume Import and File Uploads

Resume import accepts supported PDF and DOCX files and rejects many unsupported, suspicious, encrypted, oversized, macro-enabled, or unsafe files. You must upload only files you own or have permission to use. You may not upload malware, exploit documents, misleading file types, password-protected files, macro files, archives, scripts, or files intended to bypass validation.

The importer extracts readable text and may organize it into suggested resume sections. It does not guarantee that every file can be read, that formatting will be preserved, or that extracted text is complete. Smart Import applies only approved sections and may save a new copy or update an owned resume depending on your selected mode and required confirmation.

6. AI Tools

AI Review, AI Rewrite, and Smart Import AI assistance are optional tools. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, unsuitable, repetitive, or unavailable. The app uses validators and deterministic fallbacks, but those safeguards do not prove that a suggestion is true or appropriate.

AI cannot verify your real work history, credentials, employment eligibility, education, compensation, or legal obligations. You must review and edit all AI output before using it. ResumesFlow does not guarantee job interviews, hiring, employment, salary, admissions, compliance, or career outcomes.

7. Plans and Feature Access

The server/database is the source of truth for your role, plan, payment status, and subscription status. Current plans include FREE, PRO, LIFETIME, and FREETRIAL. Paid access is currently treated as PRO, LIFETIME, or FREETRIAL in the app.

  • FREE users may have limits such as one account-level free download and restricted paid features.
  • PRO generally represents monthly paid subscription access.
  • LIFETIME generally represents one-time lifetime access when the offer is enabled and verified.
  • FREETRIAL provides temporary paid access until the trial expires or is downgraded.
  • Admins may have operational access that is separate from paid plan access.

8. Billing, Subscriptions, and Refunds

Payments and subscriptions are processed through PayPal. You are responsible for reviewing the checkout page, PayPal approval screen, plan, billing period, amount, and cancellation information before purchasing or subscribing.

PayPal client approvals are not final until the server verifies the order or subscription. For subscriptions, the app verifies the PayPal subscription ID, configured plan ID, PayPal custom ID, and status before granting PRO access. For lifetime purchases, the app verifies status, amount, currency, and ownership before granting LIFETIME access.

Subscription cancellation in the app currently requests PayPal suspension/cancellation of renewal and marks the local subscription as cancel-at-period-end where applicable. Access may continue until the stored current period end. Reactivation may be available if PayPal and the local subscription state allow it. If a subscription expires or the paid period has ended, the app may downgrade access to FREE unless the account has LIFETIME access.

There is no self-service refund route in the current app. Refund questions must be sent to support and may depend on PayPal status, the specific offer, applicable law, and manual review.

9. Acceptable Use

  • Do not attack, disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, bypass, or probe the service or its security controls.
  • Do not abuse rate limits, trials, downloads, AI jobs, import jobs, PayPal flows, webhooks, email verification, password reset, or admin interfaces.
  • Do not upload malicious, exploit, macro-enabled, encrypted, misleading, or unauthorized files.
  • Do not use the service to create fraudulent, defamatory, unlawful, infringing, discriminatory, or misleading documents.
  • Do not submit public reviews or support content that is spam, abusive, unlawful, or violates another person's rights.
  • Do not attempt to access another user's resumes, cover letters, jobs, billing records, import jobs, AI jobs, or admin data.

10. Service Availability and Modifications

The service depends on database, Redis, PayPal, SMTP email, Google reCAPTCHA, Google Analytics, local Ollama AI, Puppeteer/Chrome, workers, hosting, and network infrastructure. Any of these may be unavailable, delayed, degraded, rate-limited, or changed.

We may add, remove, suspend, modify, limit, or replace features, templates, AI behavior, file upload support, payment offers, free trials, pricing displays, or plan limits. We may also perform maintenance or respond to security incidents without advance notice.

11. Termination and Account Deletion

You may delete supported user content and request account deletion through the app where available. Account deletion requires confirmation and may require current-password and active-subscription confirmation. Some operational records, payment records, logs, audit records, rate-limit data, and backups may remain as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, abused the service, created risk, attempted payment or security bypasses, infringed rights, or used the service unlawfully. We may preserve records where needed for security, fraud prevention, legal, accounting, or dispute purposes.

12. Intellectual Property

ResumesFlow, the application code, interface, templates, branding, documentation, and service design are owned by ResumesFlow or its licensors. Your content remains yours. You may use exported documents for your own career and job application purposes, subject to these Terms and any third-party rights that apply to content you provide.

13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The service is provided as available. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, perfect formatting, successful file extraction, error-free PDFs, accurate AI suggestions, continuous PayPal availability, continuous email delivery, or employment outcomes.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResumesFlow is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, lost-profit, lost-opportunity, lost-data, employment, hiring, rejection, or business damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

14. Changes and Contact

We may update these Terms as the service changes. The latest version will show a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
